Our Story: A special delivery 'cause we care
More than 40 years of serving meals in Greeley and Weld County Colorado
Meals on Wheels serving Greeley and Weld County Colorado opened for operations on April 1, 1970. A total of 24 meals were delivered by eight volunteers on that day.
Today, more than 300 volunteers deliver over 55,000 meals a year to our clients. Mary Margaret Cox, Executive Director, is the founding director with over 40 years experience at the helm of Meals on Wheels of Weld County.
Meals on Wheels works with all of the senior agencies and health care agencies in Weld County. We collaborate with health care providers and hospitals that refer patients who require dietary services from Meals on Wheels. Additionally, we work closely with the Weld County Food Bank for supplies which assist us in maintaining a reasonable and efficient cost for preparing our meals.

Professional Kitchen and Equipment Operations
Meals are prepared onsite by professional staff. A registered dietitian supervises menus.
