Provides meals that meet special dietary requirements due to health conditions such as diabetes, cardio restrictive, renal, and soft or puree diets. All meals served meet the nutritional requirements as established by the ADA.
How much do meals cost?
The basic cost of a meal is $4.75. Prices are adjusted downward according to income. Food stamps may be used to pay for meals. Over 80% of our clients are served meals at a reduced price.
Who qualifies for Meals on Wheels services?
You qualify if you are homebound and you are elderly, mentally or physically challenged of any age, unable to cook due to either a long illness or short term illness.
How do I sign up?
Call 970-353-9738 for our intake procedure. Please be sure to leave a message on the machine should we be unavailable to take your call. Best time to call is before 1:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
What about breakfast and weekends?
If needed, breakfast and weekend meals are available. Breakfast is delivered with your lunch for the next day and frozen meals are delivered on Fridays for the weekend.
